We are now serving hot chocolate! It's the perfect cold weather treat now that it's starting to get chilly outside.
This recipe was published in the Kansas City Star in December 1911 in an article entitled "Hot Holiday Drinks to Serve." We use Hartzler's whole milk and melted chocolate to create this vintage hot chocolate, and a little coconut milk and eggs (pasteurized) to give it some extra richness.
A steaming mug is served with your choice of a large homemade marshmallow or whipped cream. Delicious!
